PvE vs PvP characters
I've noticed a few quests for PvE guys give you +attribute points. And i've noticed that I never see any PvP only characters wearing fancy armor like a lot of the PvE. So i'm wondering, do pve have advantages over pvp only?? or is it equal to just make a pvp only for pvp.

Ever since the J-list was introduced for PvP characters when Nightfall came out, PvE characters don't have an advantage for PvP.

Yes, Dire pet. PvP chars are stuck with Elder.
And you can always have fancy armor on PvP char with help of tournament tokens. EDIT: Dire pet deals more damage that Elder, but has less health. Generally though, damage is worth a lot more that hp when playing Beast Master. Last edited by Dmitri3; Nov 28, 2008 at 07:28 PM // 19:28.. |

Its equal. Those +attribute quests are given automatically to PvP character.
While PvP players don't get all the cosmetic things PvE players can (ie, fancy armor, at least not easily with the reward point system) those things offer no stats bonuses whatsoever. |

a pve char has a total of 200 attrib point with those quests, pvp chars already have all 200 points. different armor is possible for pvp ones, you have to use tournament reward points.

Just saying, it is possible to have a pvp charecter with "fancy" armor. but good luck getting it. You need to get a good amount of tournament reward points.

PvE char because you get to use teh phat lewtz and show off your e-peen AND your e-skillz in PvP.
In all seriousness though, if your PvE character isn't geared up there's no point. PvP characters basically give you the curstomizability you need instantaniously, whereas on a PvE character if you're going to screw around you have to get cash, pay up and then test it. |

No advantage over either two, except pets.

The advantage of PvP characters to PvE characters is the ability to re-roll professions and create any weapon set needed at any time. When you have a PvE char in PvP, you have to buy and mod each weapon, make sure you have one of everything that you need, etc.
PvP characters offer more utility than PvE characters, only benefit is being able to buy new armor/weapons any time you want rather than have to earn them with reward points, and dire pets (if you're running sway, which I DON'T recommend if you ever want to be a serious pvp'er and not a running joke) |

PvP Only = Fast set up and accessibility for every build (if you are UAX)
PvE in PvP = Fun good looking money sink, gives you something to do in the game in GvG down times. |

agreed with everyone above my comment. they pretyt much hit the nail on the head. there is no real difference except for pets. as for armor, PvP characters can have the same armor as a PvE. ^^
